Mashantucket Tribal Member Arrested in Foxwoods Assault

Mashantucket — A Mashantucket Pequot tribal member sought in connection with an assault of a Foxwoods Resort Casino security officer turned himself in to tribal police Friday and was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and breach of peace.

Jukumu Reels-Felder, 28, turned himself in about 1:15 a.m., according to William Dittman, the tribal police chief.

Reels-Felder posted a $50,000 bond and was released, pending a Sept. 11 appearance in court, Dittman said.

Reels-Felder allegedly struck Brooke Wyngaard, a security officer who had responded to an altercation in The Fox Tower at Foxwoods early last Sunday. Wyngaard, 35, of Preston said that she sustained bone fractures and a broken nose when an assailant punched her in the face.
